Color photos on expired film from Fujica 35ML

The Fujica 35ML is an interesting camera:  you focus it by a thumbwheel on the body, rather than turning a ring on the lens.

Thanks to Neil for the use of this camera.

I shot a roll of expired Kodak Gold -- from memory, I would've intentionally over-exposed it by a stop or two, to compensate for the faded chemicals on the film.

Turned out pretty well.

As usual, these are the better pics (I don't bother displaying the mediocre -- or the bad -- photos).  ;)   No messing with the colors once I receive the "neutral" scans from the lab.  Suggest clicking to get a better sense of what they look like.

Expired drugstore film with a Canon half-frame

Still loving my Canon Demi half-frame camera (48 shots from a 24 exposure roll).

This one is from a roll of expired "Drugstore" film:  it was branded with the name of some drugstore that I didn't recognize.  I over-exposed by two stops (I think it was supposed to be 400 ASA, but I shot at 100? I'd have to check my notes).  It largely came out okay:  muted colors, but still "functional"... and "interesting".  :)

As usual, this is how it came back from the neutral scans from the photo lab -- no additional digital editing.

Given that it was basically dusk, I was pleasantly surprised that this one turned out.

As usual, you get a better sense of the photo if you click to enlarge.  :)

Hanimex D35 with expired color film

This one is with a Hanimex D35 (hat-tip to Arthur).  Expired color film (I should've written down the brand; ah well).

I would have over-exposed it by two stops, just to hit the stale chemicals with enough light to "do" something.

Faint and ghosty.  Sure.  :)

These are the three more interesting shots:  the rest were exposed okay, but the framing wasn't as solid as these three.

Expired 35mm color slide film with my Dad's camera

These are the selected results with 25 year old color slide film that expired in 1998:  however, my Dad kept it in the freezer all those years, and I kept it in the freezer once I received it.

Shot on my Dad's old Minolta SR T-101 that my Dad had sent to me.

As usual, these are only the better ones.  Not "as usual" is that I had to salvage some of them through digital processing (overexposed, due to user error).

As usual -- double-click to enlarge, so you can see them better.  :)

"Bracketing" the exposure:  both turned out interesting.

I also bracketed the exposure (and changed the framing a bit) for these two -- but I chose the ones with the more pleasing colors and framing.

These next photos are the ones that were pretty over-exposed (user error) -- and when I digitally edited them it introduced some funky coloration artifacts (which I kind of like).
