Not all ugly ducklings turn to swans

Today, when I picked up The Girl (4yo) from daycare, she showed me a small fish tank with a few tiny aquatic snails slithering around in it. ''Later,'' she told me, ''they will grow into butterflies.''


Well, maybe.
