Fails the cost-benefit analysis
Sometimes I read the local classified ads: the ''musical instruments'', ''tools'', and ''computer gear'' sections.
Under the ''tools'' section:
BROOM, missing head and handle, g.c., $10
So -- this person is going to field phone calls, and have people stop by the house -- over a ten-dollar broom?
Why... bother?

Sounds to me like the advertiser is the one getting the deal. Who's going to pay $10 for a broom missing a head and a handle? What does that leave?
Yeah - when I read it, I wasn't sure if it was a hoax or spoof -- much like people selling "air guitars" on ebay.
