Sportacus

There's a kid's show on t.v. called Lazy Town, which is actually Islandic (but, in English!). The lead character is this acrobat guy called Sportacus (pictured!): he does backflips and leaps over brick walls and such -- very "Jackie Chan"!!! -- and calls fruit ''sports candy''.

I want to be Sportacus when I grow up. :)

He doesn't sound very lazy. And your TV sounds about as exciting as our TV. Which is to say...not at all.

Ah! Sorry: the backstory is that everyone in Lazy Town were couch potatoes, until Sportacus came and encouraged everyone to run around and play sports.

Rodney Rotten doesn't like it, though -- he wants everyone to go back to being lazy -- so every week he dresses up in a disguise (e.g. Abraham Lincoln), and uses his new persona to get folks to ditch their sporting equipment, watch more t.v., etc. But at the end of the episode he gets unmasked (usually accidentally), and he's humbled -- until the next episode.

I am Sportacus!

No - *I'm* Sportacus.

All of that is insanely amusing! I find it especially ironic that it's on TELEVISION.

*I* am Sportacus.

Yeah -- I find that ironic, as well.
