If wishes were horses
Personal insight #178: It is fine to say, “I wish I knew how to play the bagpipes.”
But it will not happen unless I purchase some bagpipes. And then actually take the time to practice.
Ayep!

He kinda looks like Peter Ustinov.
Cool pic.
re: the other commenter on another post... IMHO the blog looks just dandy. It's the pics and videos that may need adjustment [emphasis on may].
Uncle Skip,
Thx (re: blog formatting)!
Yeah -- esp. when I link to pics on the web, the "Make the picture small/medium/large" button doesn't seem to work. The workaround would be to save the photo to hard drive, and then use the "small/medium/large" option. But that's just extra fiddling. ;)

I'm with you here. I recently purchased an antique bugle and while I've gotten it to make bugle-like sounds, I've yet to take the time to learn how to really play. It's been a few weeks, but I keep looking at it and thinking that I really need to learn that sucker. Not exactly, "I wish I knew how to play the bugle", but pretty close.
Bugles are nifty -- though I find them frustrating, as you only have the harmonic scale to work with, rather than all them half-steps in between. So sometimes you wish you had a note, and it's not available.
